Who we are

We are not just a hockey team. We are building a standard.

Anyone can show up. Anyone can pull on the jersey. What sets this team apart is what we do when no one is keeping score – the extra rep, the early night, the honest look in the mirror, the teammate we pick up instead of pass by. That’s the standard here. Not talent. Standards.

Talent is common. There are skilled players in every club in this league. What’s rare is the player who keeps showing up, keeps competing, and keeps getting better when it’s hard. That’s who we’re building. Not finished players – elite performers in the making.

You will hear us say it all season: who we are, and who we’re becoming. This team is about the gap between those two things, and the work it takes to close it.

So here’s the deal. We will give you the standard, the tools, and the truth. You bring the effort. Do that, and you won’t just have a better season – you’ll become a better player and a better person. That’s the whole point.

How We Train: The Five Domains

Most teams train one thing: skills on the ice. We train five. Because the players who make it – to the next level, to the best version of themselves – are complete players. Here’s what we develop, all season long.

1. On-Ice Skills

The foundation. Skating, puck handling, shooting, passing, positioning, and systems. We don’t just run drills – we teach you why the play works, so you can read the game before it happens and make the right decision at speed.

2. Mental Performance

The game between your ears. Focus, confidence, resilience, handling pressure, and bouncing back from mistakes. The best players aren’t the ones who never fail — they’re the ones who reset fastest. We’ll train your mind like we train your hands.

3. Physical Training

The engine. Strength, conditioning, recovery, nutrition, and sleep. At AA, the body you bring to the rink decides what you’re capable of. We’ll show you how to build it, fuel it, and recover it so you’re still strong in the third period and healthy in March.

4. Character & Culture

The glue. Leadership, accountability, respect, relationships, and attitude. Teams don’t fall apart because of talent – they fall apart because of trust. Every player here leads, whether or not there’s a letter on the jersey. Every player is different and plays a critical role in our overall success. How you treat your teammates, your opponents, and the game is part of who we are.

5. Individual Discipline

The difference-maker. Preparation, work ethic, ownership, and honest self-assessment. This is what you do when no one’s watching. Elite players do the basics every single time, not just when it’s convenient. Discipline is the bridge between who you are and who you’re becoming.

A Note for Families

This program asks a lot of your player – and gives a lot back. Across the season we’ll work on far more than slap shots and breakouts. We’ll talk about how the brain handles pressure, what real leadership looks like, how to eat and sleep like an athlete, and how to build habits that outlast a hockey season.

Our goal is simple: develop complete people through the game of hockey. The wins take care of themselves when the players grow. Thank you for trusting us with that, and for being part of it.
