An exceptional season with a remarkable number of successes, including three tournament wins and winning the ACHA league championship.

The Entire U16 Field
There were a total of 1,111 U16 teams across the United States that were considered to be playing travel hockey teams this season. There may be another 1,500 to 2,000 house teams to consider, but they are not included in the MyHockeyRanking ratings.
Below is a chart of MHR ratings separated by level (AAA, AA, and A).

The average MyHockeyRanking Rating scores this season were:
AAA: 90.6 (total of 303 teams)
AA: 84.4 (total of 490 teams)
A: 79.8 (total of 305 teams)
How did we do?
We ended up with a rating of 80.44, which is above average, and the highest of all NC A-level teams. In the chart above, we are the blue diamond. You may notice that we ended up higher ranked than some AA teams, and even one AAA team!
More importantly, our rating progress over the season looked like this:

The first few weeks are always a mess, where teams across the country begin to figure out how they compare to their peers. But by week 15, rankings tend to be much more accurate. We quickly elevated to our above average rating.
The best news is that for the remainder of the season, even though we faced setbacks and challenges, we continued to rise, showing that we were improving as a team.
Our last few tournaments were excellent competition, and the results were strongly related to how much we were working together versus individually.
Thank you!
As a coach, we rarely get a group of young people that vary so much in their backgrounds and interests, but are willing to put all those differences aside to come together as a team.
This season has been an absolute treat to work with great players, fun coaches, excellent team managers, and super-supportive families. On behalf of all of our coaches, let me say thank you to everyone for all the effort and positive energy you contributed to this season’s success!!
