Summary
We played the AA version of the Nashville Flyers, who were ranked 6 points above us in MHR. They totally outplayed us – great speed and positioning.
Great observations from Keener’s notes: “we were totally dominated in the Flyers game after performing fairly well in the 1st period. Once the 2nd unlucky goal ramped of Noyes’ stick into the net and the weak 3rd goal went in, TO’s went up, Face off wins dropped off completely, and we could not get it out of our zone because effort collapsed. Of note though, the Flyers did not score any off turnovers, they passed exceptionally cleanly until an excellent shot was available and it usually resulted in a score.”
Noisy played well in the first period, but had a bit of a mental meltdown in the 2nd, and we reluctantly swapped him for Perky between 2nd and 3rd.
