The Santa Clara Blackhawks are 1 point ahead of us in MHR, but didn’t perform very well in this Nashville Tournament. We played well, and got a goal early, but they tied, and then took the lead in the 2nd. We rallied in the 3rd to tie and then secure the GWG.
Keener’s observations: “clearly a helluva 2nd intermission speech to wake the kids up. Evidence shown by a ridiculous amount of uncharacteristic offsides calls on our part (though this was also exacerbated by having 4 refs) in the first period. Note we had none in the third and suddenly capitalized on 2 turnovers and did not waste our one odd man rush but had an incredibly rare for us 3 on 1 and closed it out with 2 nice passes and good move for the goal. “
